4 Unforgettable Honeymoon Destinations in Bali

Your honeymoon in Bali wouldn’t be complete without a proper itinerary on the island of the Gods. Being a tropical island, Bali is blessed with beautiful, scenic beaches that feature clear blue waters that mirror the skies, majestic temples, hidden waterfalls, and the most breathtaking sunsets to enjoy on your honeymoon. Not to mention the incredible surfing opportunities should you and your partner wish to catch some waves.

With that said, we’ve curated four of our favorite locations for you and your partner to visit during your honeymoon in Bali.

Bingin Cliffs

For a spectacular view of the western coastline, the Bingin Cliffs are hard to beat. Rest your gaze on the beautiful Bali peninsula, or the infinite stretch of the Indian Ocean as the sun sets over the horizon. Not only are the vistas incredible, but it’s also arguably much quieter and secluded compared to places like Uluwatu and Dreamland Beach. Additionally, if you feel like taking on the waves, Bingin Beach is also excellent for surfing as well as with boutique cafes for romantic dining.

Git Git Waterfall

Feeling more adventurous? Consider taking your partner to the northern regions of Bali where it is home to many of the hidden waterfalls on the island. One recommendation, in particular, is the Git Git waterfall in Singaraja. This majestic waterfall is located up in the highlands in the midst of lush jungles. It involves a bit of light hiking to reach the falls, but once you’re there you’ll be treated to a stunning cascade of fresh water from the mountains.

Balangan Beach

Just north of Uluwatu along the western coastline of Jimbaran is Balangan Beach. Balangan beach features two main vantage points for visitors to enjoy. The first one being the cliff, where you have an elevated view of the shoreline as well as the Indian Ocean. The cliff area is a stunning place for romantic photographs with your partner as it captures the immense scale of the ocean, as well as providing incredible lighting during the golden hours just before sunset.

The second vantage point in Balangan Beach is down on the coastline itself, which features soft white sands and unique rock formations. During low tide, you can stroll quite far out to the ocean with your partner for a breathtaking vista of the sunset. The beach also features restaurants for you and your loved one to dine in. Many of them also offer surfing lessons should you feel up for the adventure!

Uluwatu Temple

Arguably one of the most spectacular temples in Bali, Uluwatu Temple is a must-visit during your honeymoon in Bali. The temple was built in the 11th century by a Javanese priest and serves as one of the nine cardinal temples of Bali that supposedly protects the island from evil spirits.

The temple is perched on the edge of the limestone cliffs on the southern tip of Bali and features multiple vantage points for a stunning view of the Indian Ocean. In addition to the views, Uluwatu also serves as the main stage for the legendary Balinese Kecak Dance. The dance is performed by a circle of men chanting a mesmerizing rhyme as they depict the story of the god Ramayana and ends with a brilliant fire show as the sun sets in the background.
